UIL exists to complement the academic curriculum and is designed to motivate students as they acquire higher levels of knowledge, to challenge students to confront issues of importance, and to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of specific skills. Students are challenged to think critically and creatively, exhibiting much more than knowledge and comprehension.

Listening – 5th grade
Maps, Charts & Graphs – 5th grade
Music Memory – 2nd-5th grades
Number Sense – 4th & 5th grades
Oral Reading – 4th & 5th grades
Ready Writing – 3rd-5th grades
Social Studies – 5th grade
Spelling – 3rd-5th grades
Storytelling – 2nd & 3rd grades
Sign-ups are through September 11th.
Practices begin the week of September 18th.
District competition in Sabine on December 6th.
